Welcome to Prayer List For Rock Stars. This site is for evangelical CHRISTIANS and MESSIANIC JEWS desiring to pray for rock stars and others in the Entertainment Industry. (For more info on who are included on this site, see our Facebook page under Files then Group Info.) All information given is not meant to be judgmental; God is the judge:

Psalm 9:7-8; 75:7; 96:13;

Hebrews 9:27;

2 Thess. 1:7-9.

Rather, info is an aid to those praying and is helpful, especially to those who don't know these personally. Pray with us for these to be saved.

Those joining us should be over 18 and willing to pray for those on the List. You also agree not to argue or harass members of this blog or its administrator (2 Cor. 13:11 and Prov. 6:16...19).

PRAYER TIPS AND SCRIPTURAL SUPPORT

"First of all, then, I urge that entreaties and prayers, petitions and thanksgivings be made on behalf of all men...This is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Savior, who desires all men to be saved and come to the knowledge of the truth. For there is one God, and one mediator also between God and men, the man Jesus Christ, who gave Himself as a ransom for all, the testimony borne at the proper time." (1 Timothy 2:1-6 [some phrases omitted: ...]) NASV.

PRAYING SUGGESTIONS:

1. By name with info from List. God knows the conditions of the heart and needs of each person even if we do not. Pray for those who don't know Jesus as their Savior to be saved.

2. You may pray for one or more names as you feel led. Another way is one name per day until the entire list is prayed for, then repeating when you reach the beginning again. Or you may pray for several a day, keeping up with your place on the List. Another choice is praying only for those you are familiar with, whether you know them personally or not. All praying is voluntary and is between you and God. It is not necessary to pray for all names on List unless that is your desire.

3. Make sure all idols are renounced. Do not worship groups or musicians. See them as humans with talent who need Jesus. Make sure you are right with God. Do not judge or condemn them but lovingly pray for God to draw them to Himself.

4. For those in false religions. Believe God is able to deliver them from Satan's deceptions (Luke 10:17-20 and Jeremiah 32:27). Come against the enemy and ask for the chains and blinders to be broken in the name and blood of Jesus (Rev. 12:11 and 2 Cor. 4:3-4). Open their spiritual eyes to see the Truth of God and that Jesus is the only Door to salvation (John 10:1-2, 7-9 and Matthew 19:23-26). Let them feel something is not right or is missing in their spiritual life and that their religion may no longer satisfy (John 6:35). Let the Holy Spirit give them an unquenchable desire for Jesus (John 6:44-45).

5. For those who will witness and befriend them into the Kingdom (Luke 10:2).

6. Agree with us and other intercessors in prayer for these (Matt. 18:18-19 and Rom. 15:5).

We don't ask for donations, don't accept donations, don't need donations and operate free from the restrictions of NPO's or businesses. This site is dedicated to Randy Ray Herring (July 24, 1960-March 8, 2003), former assistant manager of PLFRS and co-founder. I miss you my buddy.

HISTORY OF PLFRS

In 1979 I began a List of people to pray for: musicians and actors. PLFRS was founded in 2000 on MSN Groups (then called MSN Communities). In 2009 the homepage was moved to Blogger/Blogspot due to the demise of MSN Groups. The branch site was opened on Facebook. Additional branch sites were opened on Shoutlife!, Yahoo Groups and MySpace. Shoutlife was the most successful branch other than Facebook but was closed when Shoutlife ended March 2014. This site is intended for evangelical Christians who desire to pray for celebrities to be saved. Messianic Jews are also invited to participate. It is not intended to be used by those of other religions. FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

WHY DO YOU HAVE PEOPLE'S NAMES ON HERE TO PRAY FOR THEM? AREN'T YOU BEING JUDGMENTAL?

No, that is not our heart. God is the one who will judge people [Psalm 9:7-8; 75:7; 96:13; Hebrews 9:27; 2 Thess. 1:7-9]. All people need a personal and saving relationship with Jesus Christ [John 3:16]. That's why we pray for them.

WHY ARE SOME PEOPLE'S NAMES LISTED ON HERE AND SOME AREN'T? ARE THERE ONLY SOME YOU WANT TO BE SAVED?

Those listed here are simply the ones on my list that I pray for and the list that one of my friends on the site prays for. There are actually 3 lists on this site. We desire like God that all men be saved. Those listed here are the ones we feel a burden or likeness for and we are sharing it with you. We encourage people to pray for these or for anyone else they desire to pray for.

WHY CAN'T MY LIST BE POSTED HERE WITH THE OTHERS? WHY CAN'T OTHER NAMES BE LISTED?

Due to the high numbers of names on our List(s) we are no longer accepting additional submissions. It is highly likely that other names you may be interested in will be added at some time. But there is no guarantee on any particular name. We do believe all men need Jesus and need our prayers to help expedite that along.

I LIKE WHAT YOU ARE DOING HERE AND WOULD LIKE TO JOIN YOU AS A MEMBER/FOLLOWER. ARE YOU STRICT IN YOUR REQUIREMENTS? WHAT SHOULD I EXPECT IF I JOIN?

If you agree with us spiritually (as stated in these questions and our Prayer Tips section) you may join us here or on Facebook. As far as your commitment, that is strictly between you and God. I will not be urging you to do anything while you are associated with us. If you don't desire to pray for any of these but still like the idea in principle, you may join us as a supporter. What is said about praying will be in general for everyone, and everything I say about praying are strictly suggestions.

WHAT IF I SEE SOMETHING I DON'T LIKE ON THIS SITE?

I don't want this site to be involved in heated discussions about religion, politics or rock music (e.g.: is rock music of the devil?). This is a peaceful site and I want it to remain as such. Those who agree may join us and those who do not should not participate. Thank you for understanding.
