Welcome to the new, friendlier Prayer List For Rock Stars. This site is for CHRISTIANS desiring to pray for rock stars and others. All information given is not meant to be judgmental; God is the judge. Rather, info is an aid to those praying and is helpful, especially to those who don't know these personally. Pray with us for these to be saved. This website was founded in 2000 and was originally posted on MSN Groups. All names posted on "The List" were added since 1979 and each one was living at the time. Unfortunately, some have died since then, but their names will continue to be listed.

WHY DO YOU HAVE PEOPLE'S NAMES ON HERE TO PRAY FOR THEM? AREN'T YOU BEING JUDGMENTAL?
No, that is not our heart. God is the one who will judge people. All people need a personal and saving relationship with Jesus Christ. That's why we pray for them.
WHY ARE SOME PEOPLE'S NAMES LISTED ON HERE AND SOME AREN'T? ARE THERE ONLY SOME YOU WANT TO BE SAVED?
Those listed here are simply the ones on my list that I pray for and the list that one of my friends on the site prays for. We desire like God that all men be saved. Those listed here are the ones we feel a burden or likeness for and we are sharing it with you. We encourage people to pray for these or for anyone else they desire to pray for.
WHY CAN'T MY LIST BE POSTED HERE WITH THE OTHERS? WHY CAN'T OTHER NAMES BE LISTED?
You may have a list of at least five names posted if you meet a couple of criteria. First, there can be no duplication of names already listed on this site. Second, we ask that all names you submit be those you personally pray for and have a burden/desire to see them saved, not just names you think should be on here.

I don't make distinctions on who should or shouldn't be listed. All men need Jesus. The only other requirement for listing on this site is that the names be of someone who is in or has been in the entertainment business. I welcome all names you may submit in a group of 5 or more as long as I recognize who they are and can post pictures of them. You will also have to submit your name or pseudonym (if you don't want your real name posted) and allow it to be indicated on your posts that each person belongs to your list. I will do the posting and will do it promptly. Those interested should email me and send pertinent information, a list and info on each name and who they are or what groups they are associated with. Include your real name and pseudonym (if you want one) and contact information. You will receive prompt attention from me. We welcome like-minded individuals who share our burden for musicians and actors.

If you agree with us spiritually (as stated in these questions and our Prayer Tips section) you may join us here or on Facebook or one of the other branch sites. As far as your commitment, that will not be a concern of mine. Your commitment to pray for whoever you desire is strictly between you and God. I will not be urging you to do anything while you are associated with us. I will give you total freedom to set your own commitment level. If you don't desire to pray for any of these but still like the idea in principle, you may join us as a supporter. I will not be bothering anyone personally about whether they are praying or not. Whatever I say about praying will be in general for everyone, and everything I say about praying are strictly suggestions.

PRAYER TIPS AND SCRIPTURAL SUPPORT
"First of all, then, I urge that entreaties and prayers, petitions and thanksgivings be made on behalf of all men...This is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Savior, who desires all men to be saved and come to the knowledge of the truth. For there is one God, and one mediator also between God and men, the man Jesus Christ, who gave Himself as a ransom for all, the testimony borne at the proper time." (1 Timothy 2:1-6 [some phrases omitted: ...]) NASV.
PRAYING SUGGESTIONS:
1. By name with info from List. God knows the conditions of the heart and needs of each person even if we do not. Pray for those who don't know Jesus as their Savior to be saved.
2. You may pray for one or more names as you feel led. Another way is one name per day until the entire list is prayed for, then repeating when you reach the beginning again. Or you may pray for several a day, keeping up with your place on the List. Another choice is praying only for those you are familiar with, whether you know them personally or not. All praying is voluntary and is between you and God. It is not necessary to pray for all names on List unless that is your desire.
3. Make sure all idols are renounced. Do not worship groups or musicians. See them as humans with talent who need Jesus. Make sure you are right with God. Do not judge or condemn them but lovingly pray for God to draw them to Himself.
4. For those in false religions. Believe God is able to deliver them from Satan's deceptions (Luke 10:17-20 and Jeremiah 32:27). Come against the enemy and ask for the chains and blinders to be broken in the name and blood of Jesus (Rev. 12:11 and 2 Cor. 4:3-4). Open their spiritual eyes to see the Truth of God and that Jesus is the only Door to salvation (John 10:1-2, 7-9 and Matthew 19:23-26). Let them feel something is not right or is missing in their spiritual life and that their religion may no longer satisfy (John 6:35). Let the Holy Spirit give them an unquenchable desire for Jesus (John 6:44-45).
5. For those who will witness and befriend them into the Kingdom (Luke 10:2).
6. Agree with us and other intercessors in prayer for these (Matt. 18:18-19 and Rom. 15:5).
7. Let us know when information is released on someone's salvation (no rumors please) or death. Email me at

Dickie died Oct. 11, 2009 in Germany. He had supposedly just recovered from a gall bladder infection and was looking forward to getting back to work. Those who met him say he was a nice guy in person, unlike the tough image he portrayed in the group Blue Cheer. No word on his spiritual condition.
